Northstar Basketball Showcase School Lists

by Alex Schwartz

The Northstar Basketball Showcase took place today in Trenton, New Jersey, and was quite successful. While I will have a detailed recap and scouting reports posted in the next few days, I want to post the school lists that I got tonight. So, have a look at the college lists of a handful of players from the first Northstar Basketball Showcase:

Khalil Murphy '09, APEX Academies (NJ): Virginia Tech, Providence, George Washington, Rice, Iona, Rider, Fordham, St. Bonaventure, and NJIT
Offers: Rice, Iona, Rider, Fordham, St. Bonaventure, and NJIT
Favorites: While Murphy said that he is "still real open" and doesn't have any favorites, he did say, "I like Virginia Tech, Providence, and George Washington," and also added that "hopefully soon George Washington, Providence, and Virginia Tech" will offer him a scholarship.
Dream School: "It used to be Georgetown."
Note- Regarding visits, Murphy said that he has "nothing yet" planned, adding "I plan on doing [those] . . . in the spring, as of now."

Eli Carter '10, St. Anthony's (NJ): Rider, Lehigh, Missouri, and Towson

Offers: Syracuse, Fordham, and La Salle
Favorites: "I really don't have [any] favorites. It's wide open. [I'm] still looking for more schools."
Dream School: Duke or North Carolina

Shaq Duncan '10, Prep Charter (PA): "I committed to Nebraska [over the summer], but I'm not sure if I'm still ready to go there . . . [so I am] still keeping my options open."; Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Florida, Drexel, Temple, La Salle, LSU, Georgia Tech, and Providence
Offers: Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Florida, Drexel, Temple, and La Salle
                         Favorites: n/a
                         Dream School: None
None- Duncan said that although he is keeping his options open, he has not de-committed from Nebraska, saying that he is "just thinking." Interestingly, I personally had not heard or read anywhere anything about Duncan's commitment to Nebraska.
