Northstar Basketball Showcase Shaping up as a Major Event

by Alex Schwartz

What began as an event to give some exposure to kids in the New Jersey/New York/Pennsylvania area looking to play college basketball has developed into that and much more. Not only will there be JuCo, DII, and DIII prospects at the Northstar Basketball Top 120 Showcase on October 5 in Trenton, New Jersey, there will be many legitimate Division I ballers, including some who will play in a BCS conference. With players such as Frantz Massenat '10, Tyreek Duran '10, DJ Irving '10, Markus Kennedy '10 and Markens Charles '09—to name a few—expected to be in attendance, the will be a lot of talent on display. There will be many scouting services and websites, such as Basketball Spotlight News, Patrick Stanwood Basketball, and Northstar Basketball at the showcase, as well as others like ZagsBlog.net, Scout, Rivals, Grassrootsballin and Premo Hoops Recruiting, and NJHoops.com who may be there. In addition, there will be coaches from a number of DII, DIII, Junior College, NAIA, and prep schools, such as the University of Sciences in Philly. The Northstar Basketball Showcase is going to be a major event, and spots are going quickly, so if you want to be there, sign-up as soon as possible at www.northstarbball.com
