MAJOR NEWS!!! David Laury Fractures Hand and Wrist
by Alex Schwartz
David Laury '09 of The Nia School (NJ) is being heavily recruited by numerous mid-major schools. The 6'7 wing will have to deal with a broken hand and wrist while he weighs his college options. "I fractured my hand [and] wrist . . . last night . . . at my practice," said Laury via text message. He added that he is "icing it heavily and has a brace." This is not good news for David, who claims offers from schools such as St. John's, Iona, Niagara, Virginia Commonwealth, and St. Bonaventure to name a few. As of now, he is not exactly sure when he will be able to play again. I'll be sure to keep you posted on this news, which is being first reported by Northstar Basketball.
