- A number of media outlets have reported that Derrick Caracter, formerly of Lousiville, is transferring to Southern Mississippi rather than two-time defending NAIA champion Oklahoma City College.
- According to NYChoops.net, Lamont "MoMo" Jones '09 is headed back to his former school, Rice (NY), as his most recent high school, American Christian (PA), shut down soon after the 2007-2008 school year ended.
- Scout has reported that Duke offered a scholarship to Ryan Kelly '09 of Ravenscroft (NC) while he was on an unofficial visit, meaning that he now has an offer from all six of his finalists: Duke, Georgetown, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest.
