What is the Northstar Basketball Showcase?
by Alex Schwartz
You may have seen the recent, updated ad for the Northstar Basketball Showcase. I figured I would take the time to elaborate a bit on what exactly the Northstar Basketball Top 120 College Showcase is going to be. First off, the event will take place on Sunday, October 5 at the Mercer County Indoor Facility, formerly known as the Mercer County Tennis Center. The facility is right next to the Mercer County Airport in Trenton, New Jersey. The showcase costs $125 and a spot can be purchased online at www.northstarbball.com by going to the Online Store.
The Northstar Basketball Top 120 College Showcase provides the opportunity for a large number of kids to get exposure in front of college coaches and scouting services. Division II, Division III, Junior College, and NAIA schools will be represented. While there will be no Division I coaches in attendance—there will be none anywhere as it is not a live evaluation period—information on players will be sent to many DI schools. Thus, there is the opportunity for DII, DIII, JuCo, and NAIA talents to get exposure, as well as DI prospects. It is a good chance for players flying under the radar to get looks from college coaches at all different levels, along with talent evaluators from numerous services such as Northstar Basketball, Scout, Basketball Spotlight News, and Hoop Scoop and possibly more.
With coaches from DII, DIII, JuCo, and NAIA schools and recruiting services and websites in the building along with information being sent to DI schools at low, mid, and high major levels, the Northstar Basketball Top 120 College Showcase allows for players of ALL skill levels to get exposure. For only $125 you can possibly become a player who bursts onto the scene and get college looks. Or, maybe you are already a well-known player who gets the chance to be seen by many people and you elevate your stock. Regardless of who you are, the Northstar Basketball Top 120 College Showcase gives you the chance to show people just how good you are and that you are good enough to play college basketball!
