Another top-notch student-athlete from New England is off the board and headed to an Ivy League school. I got a call from a source close to the Northfield-Mt. Hermon School (MA) program about 45 minutes ago informing me that Andrew McCarthy '09 has committed to Brown. McCarthy told me in late Julythat Princeton was his favorite, but it's possible that Brown hiring former Hoop Group Elite Camp director Lamar Barrettplayed a major role in Andrew's decision, as he attended a Hoop Group Elite Camp this summer and Barrett has great relationships all over the Northeast.
