- According to http://scouthoops.scout.com/, Khalif Wyatt '09 of Norristown Area HS (PA) has committed to Temple.
- Switching to womens' hoops for a second, Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog.net has an interesting article on Elena Delle Donne, a former high school phenom. The consensus top player in America coming out of high school is apparently leaving UConn to go to Delaware, where she may play volleyball. - Shannon Givens '09, a 6'0 point guard from Academy of the New Church (PA) will be following his brother Samme '08 to Drexel, as he has committed to the Dragons.
- The Boost Mobile Elite 24 Classic is on Friday, August 22nd at Rucker Park in Harlem, New York. This year there will be a dunk contest prior to the actual game. Northstar Basketball will there on Friday evening, and will attend media events related to the event on Thursday the 21st, so be sure to check back for information on the game. This year's roster features John Wall '09, Dexter Strickland '09, Dominic Cheek '09, Lance Stephenson '09, Josh Smith '10, Jeremy Tyler '10, Tristan Thompson '10, and LaQuinton Ross '11. Go to the Elite 24 web page for more, including the full roster. I want to add that Dion Waiters '10 and Nolan Dennis '09 have replaced Michael Gilchrist '11 and Jereme Richmond '10 from the original list of players.
