Cherry Hill West, which features 6’8 Chris Gebhart ’10, has an interesting matchup on its hands here. The Lions are facing the hosts of the Summer Shootout, Allentown. Although the Lions are the home squad in the contest, Allentown still has the comfort of playing at home. The game is beginning right now. I only have numbers for Allentown, but do have names for Cherry Hill West!

9:59am- Allentown has opened the game’s scoring almost one minute in and is up 2-0.

10:01am- Mickel Orr ’10 has evened the game for CH West.

10:03am- Chris Gebhart and Mickel Orr both scored for Cherry Hill West, and the Lions are now up 6-2.

10:06am- With 12 minutes left in the first half, the game is tied up at six.

10:10am- Matt Speckman ’09 showed some nice hustle on CH West’s last possession, continuously keeping the ball alive. Although the Lions did not convert his efforts into points, it was still some nice work by Speckman.

10:12am- Allentown is in front 12-8 with 7:15 left in the first 20 minutes of play.

10:16am- The game is even at 12 with five minutes to play in the half.

10:18am- Cherry Hill West has taken a 19-12 lead, and is on an 11-0 run, with the last three points coming on a Mickel Orr three.

10:20am- CH West is now up nine, 21-12, and the squad’s run is up to 13-0.

10:21am- Orr has banged another three, making it 24-12 CH West, as the run is now 16-0.

10:22am- An Allentown basket with four seconds left in the half has cut the deficit to 10, 24-14, heading into the break.

10:24am- #1 and #10 each have four points for Allentown. Although points are not being kept for CHW because their jerseys don’t have numbers, Mickel Orr has at least 10 points including at least two triples.

10:29am- Gebhart has opened the second half scoring, giving CHW a 26-14 lead, and making it an 18-2 run for the Lions.

10:31am- After two baskets from Allentown, Gebhart has come back with another basket. It’s 28-18 CHW.

10:33am- With 15 minutes to play, Cherry Hill West is up 28-20.

10:40am- Allentown is down 34-22 with just over 7:30 to go.

10:43am- Two free throws from Allentown has cut the lead to 10, 34-24, with slightly under 6:30 to go.

10:44am- We’re at the five minute mark and CHW is ahead 37-24.

10:45am- The game may well be out of reach now for Allentown, as the team is now down by 16, 40-24, and there is under four minutes left.

10:48am- With 60 seconds to go, Cherry Hill West is leading 40-25.

10:51am- The game has come to a close, and Cherry Hill West is the winner, 40-27.
