I wanted to let everyone know that I'm covering the Summer Shootout at Allentown High School (NJ). The event began tonight (Friday, August 8th) and runs for 16 hours on both the 9th and 10th. There are two games during 33 of the 35 time slots. I have planned my schedule so that I can see every team but one play. I'll be attending games during 30 of the 35 time slots. I'll be keeping a "live blog" during each game I'm at. Unfortunately, I cannot access the internet at Allentown HS, and thus will have to post each of the "live blogs" at night one by one after the games are over. I'm sorry about this, but I hope that you enjoy the "live blogs" anyway.
There will be a number of top-notch teams in attendance, including St. Patrick's (NJ), Neumann-Goretti (PA), Plainfield (NJ), Windsor (CT), and Trenton Catholic (NJ). Numerous high-quality players, such as Dexter Strickland '09, Markus Kennedy '10, Kyrie Irving '10, Andre Gillette '09, Isaiah Epps '10, Tyrone Johnson '11, and Frantz Massenat '10 will be at the event.
